About FL MBOC . . .
The Florida Minority Business Opportunity Center (FMBOC) is funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and is operated by the Florida Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. (FMSDC) a premier organization that for over 25 years has been dedicated to the development of Minority Owned Business Enterprises (MBEs).
Specifically FMSDC services over 150 local and national corporate members, provides procurement, growth and professional development opportunities to over 400 certified minority supplier (MBE) affiliates (African-American, Hispanic, Asian American and Native American) and is one of 39 regional affiliate councils of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. NMSDC links over 15,000 MBEs and over 3,500 corporate members.
In conjunction with this strong leadership and recognition in Supplier Diversity, the Florida MBOC serves as a catalyst in nurturing and expanding these relationships towards the ultimate goal of advancing significant employment and sustainable economic growth. Our mission is to increase business ownership opportunities for minority business enterprises and to positively impact their ability to obtain contracts, financing, and a greater market presence. |
